Wild Magic 02:16
Voices talking low Darkness won't make me slow There's no stoppin' this time There's no stoppin on this road To the top of our lives We were only only Too young to find The magic inside I ran for miles with you I ran for miles on that road And it ran through the trees Like a mornin' love song Too early to see The magic within me I thought and thought about you I thought about you all night long And there are places We called home In little spaces Of the unknown To the top of our lives We were only only To the top of our lives We were only only Too young to see

Frightened by the world Come out and take my hand There’s no need to fear I know where I am Chase me through the dark Through places we don’t know Oh come back to the light And I will take you home Time, would even ask us why And you, you were sure this time Oh I’ve found a way Where’s your hiding place? Where you secrets grow Let me inside Will I ever know? Send me a smile Everything’s okay Come on and take my hand Let’s run through this old day Time would even ask us why And you, you were sure this time Oh, I’ve found a way Time, it tried to change my mind But you, you were sure this time Oh I’ve found a way

Fool's Gold 05:06
If I lost it all Would you come back to me In the midst of it all I could barely see Will the sirens call When the world starts to see Time’s a wrecking ball Oh it got the best of me Oh I held you close You slipped away From my heart In my bones Oh I feel The aching cold I tried to break the wall There it stood at your heart As the sun starts to fall Shadows creep the land Into the dark unknown I could barely see I couldn’t stop the fall Oh I slipped away Oh I held you close You slipped away From my heart In my bones Oh I feel The aching cold

Wishing Well 04:03
You lay your head down Dream of all you want And close you eyes It’ll be alright Momma told you Stories in the night Legends of the old Oh will I ever know? One day, you wake and rise up Cast all your dreams aside Down the wishing well Far away you ran Away from your home Down the hills and through the fields Now you’re all grown The scars on your hands The dirt in your eyes The stories momma told Still were inside One day, you wake and rise up Cast all your dreams aside Down the wishing well In your dreams you see your home A thousand miles all alone You ran away from it all I hope you know Down the wishing well

Shipwrecked 02:54
Inside a mystic mind I saw I ship set sail And go into Waters unknown There were stormy skies As lighting crashed And we could Never return Never go Inside the captain's eye Oh there he saw A ghost of Someone he loved And in the ragin' sea Madness swirled And it Pulled us below Pulled us down below We're shipwrecked now And in his final words Oh the captain spoke About the Journey to go We watched his shaking hands As they turned to gold And he Slipped into the Sea We're shipwrecked now

On a hot night Oh I feel it In those headlights I can see it With your dark eyes You saw my heart But I can’t go back To where we were In my memory I conceal it Blurred in time But I don’t it need it All these moments That we never had But I can’t go back To where we were What would you say? I will try and make this world Spin again Oh your heart It decayed with time I will try and sing it Back to life To where we were Through the echoes I still hear it In my bones I can feel it You’re the ghost That haunts my home But I can’t go back To where we were What would you say? I will try and make this world Spin again Oh your heart It decayed with time I will try and sing it Back to life To where we were In those headlights now I recall it In a parking lot Where we cursed the night All these visions in dreams I will always see I know it’s not right But we can’t go back To where we were What would you say? I will try and make this world Spin again Oh your heart It decayed with time I will try and sing it Back to life To where we were

In The Dark 03:38
And we’ll talk About the mysteries in your mind And we’ll walk Down these streets when we were small But it got dark And the leaves changed their shades October Sky Was blazing red in your eyes I said fire Oh, it burns through the night And we’ll glow As we’re racing towards the light Where’d you go Take my hand, as we’ll run through the dark And we’re quiet Oh the wind howls your name Let’s runaway But the scene stays the same In your heart We sang songs to feel alive In your eyes I became a different kind I said fire Oh, it burns through the night And we’ll glow As we’re racing towards the light But where’d you go Take my hand, as we’ll run through the dark You could feel it Under your skin at night And I'll know Did you know Oh I could taste it There were kingdoms in your eyes And I'll know Did you know I said fire Oh, it burns through the night And we’ll glow As we’re racing towards the light Where’d you go Take my hand, as we’ll run through the dark

There’s darkness on the rise I saw the evil in your eyes I won’t be there for you If you see me tonight Chaos filled my bones And it left me all alone Oh I'll run towards the rise If I see you tonight You can’t fight what’s in your blood Lurking shadows in the dust You’re probably somewhere that I knew If I see you One more night I traveled across the night Saw the diamonds in the sky Oh I thought they spelled your name But maybe I was wrong What have I become? I lost my soul to love Oh I’ll run towards the rise If I see you tonight I hear the whispers in the dark Oh and something took my heart Back to someplace that I knew If I see you One more night

Heroes 03:32
Runaway to the dark I saw you go You're tryin' find Your way home You're settin' fire To your whole life You watch it burn Into the night And I can be your I can be your hero You cry aloud Come rescue me In time of trouble I start to see I'll always be There for you Even when your world's torn apart And I can be your I can be your hero There's danger Somewhere near There's no time For any fear Oh I'll save you From this mess And I'll be Your hero The dreams we made With wounded hearts Tangled minds And battle scars And the places we've been And the things we saw In the dark They called it night

When I felt alive I did see her Come to life Let your heart explode Let it kill you With all its might And you start to feel again Oh the trouble we did cause Where’s the feeling that is now Oh it will capture you I recalled the day And you forgot the night And where we lied In a flash of sparks There was my life And all my time Who were you to make this move Oh the power I had held Where’s the feeling that is now Oh it faded long ago

about

Ryan Fox's first full-length album, They Called It Night, lets you wander into the unknown; past the silhouettes of trees in the distance. It tells a story of love and loss while taking you on a wild journey down the roads less traveled. Lyrically speaking, each song provides its own piece to the overarching story of the album, repeating thematic elements of "darkness," "runaways," and "youth." The album's swirling snyths swell into waves of emotion as they crash around the melodic core of the songs. The driving drum beats of Shawn Fox and big guitars of Ryan Fox take the songs and raise them into anthemic heights. Olivia Price and Ryan Fox tactfully blend their voices into one powerful, unified instrument, allowing for colossal pushing choruses with beautiful harmonies intertwined. Influences of The Cure, Coldplay, and The Killers can be heard meshing with original concepts throughout the tracks.
